My heritage and identity is deeply interwoven with a mixture of cultures and languages. I was born in Menorca, a small Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea. My father, Spanish and my mother, English. They both had an amazing sense of adventure and courage that would eventually lead our family trio to Canada in the late seventies.
My parents from the get go were dreamers, doers and artists. It is from them and my beautiful family of today that I have found my greatest influences, inspiration, strength, sense of adventure and my artistic voice.
My love of creating and collaging began many years ago in my early teens and my passion for photography started not long after in my early 20’s.
Today, some 30 years later, I find myself intertwining my two artistic mediums; Photography and Photo Transfer Art. Two artistic forms of expression that encompass and communicate the artist and persona that I am today.
My photography is characterized by culture and spontaneity, focusing on people and nature.
My photo transfer - art would not be possible without my original photos. Today, Photo Transferring is considered an emerging form of modern art. Using my original photos I transfer them onto wood. With different techniques and mixed media I am able to give my image new life, full of layers and textures. Each piece is unique and captures my feelings and intentions in the moment of creation. It is very much a hands-on process where I am able to create something that is intuitively mine. This Artistic process allows me to break free from the digital and artificial world which we live in and instead embrace the more tangible and the real.
I am currently based in Malaga, Spain where I live with my equallly diverse family.
I want to thank you for visiting my site today.
Currently I am a Member of The SFM-sociedad fotografica de MALAGA and The Hispanic Canadian Arts and cultural Association in Canada.

Excerpt from journeys of the dragonfly - Elena - Spain reminds her a lot of home. Families are always out together even till late at night and no one thinks it’s strange. The streets are so lively; full of people walking, talking and living in the moment. Of course she says in Congo there is much more dancing and you can hear music in every corner.
